Whole Child and Family Solutions, PLLC
I use a solution-focused, collaborative, problem-solving approach with children, their families, and my colleagues. I strive to be open, welcoming, and professional in my endeavors. It is my belief that children are whole parts of a network of interconnected systems. My objective is to empower children and families in accessing high quality, equitable support solutions.
“Nurturing our kids’ hearts and souls, as well as their bodies, is educating the whole child” – Maggie Dent.
Whole Child and Family Solutions, PLLC was formed in Bellingham, Washington by a School Psychologist with experience in a variety of educational settings. I am currently offering contractual/consultation services to schools, families, and community agencies in Whatcom and Skagit Counties (willing to travel about 100 miles within Washington state and Canada). This business was built on the premise that children are whole beings functioning within interconnected systems that impact all areas of their development (physical, social, emotional, behavioral, cognitive, adaptive and communication abilities; as well as culture, social responsibility, and spirituality).
When conducting psycho-educational evaluations in the school setting I was finding it increasingly challenging to incorporate a whole child approach to assessments, interventions, and family inclusion while simultaneously performing other expected duties of a School Psychologist. My interest in the process of completing a well-rounded, thorough educational evaluation (as well as providing additional support and connections to families) appeared to be outgrowing my job description. I created this company in hopes that I could better meet the needs of agencies who employ me, as well as the children and families I serve. I am passionate about access and equity.
